Caked(Baked) Makeup

Scientists, fashionistas, and makeup addicts alike agree that baked eyeshadow, blush, and other makeup products are defiantly worth the rise in price.  Baked makeup tends to be more blendable, not to mention HEALTHIER for our skin.  These blushes, bronzers, and eyeshadows are all highly pigmented and long lasting.  I have a baked blush from Milani in Pink Twice.  I love it because it is a great color and gives me such a natural look.  Plus it is truly long lasting, with a natural feel as well!  If you haven't tried a baked product yet, I highly recommend going to the drugstore first to try it out.

Baseball Game + Makeup

I was going to film a video about this topic, but obviously resorted to creating a blog post and not creating both because I can come up with a variety of videos to film with unrepeated topics.  Anyways, this post is going to be an easy baseball game makeup routine so you can look pretty and watch the game.  I love going to baseball games and it tends to be a thing my dad and I do for fun together, although I really want to bring a friend along one day.  I have a lot of fun at baseball games and if you don't go to them then you should consider spending a day at the ball park.

First your going to want to cleanse your face.  I  used my Neutrogena Alcohol Free Toner, it does an absolutely fabulous job at purifying my face.  I highly recommend this product before and after you apply makeup.

Then move to a BB cream, the Maybelline BB cream is this only one I own so I use that one.  Although, Maybelline BB cream gives a dewy finish and I would rather have a matte finish because I sweat at baseball games.  So, if you have a BB cream you recommend for sweaty activities please do let me know.  I skip powder because BB cream doesn't need to be set and I hate the way wet powder looks on my face.  If you haven't tried it yet take it from me because that its a mistake you won't want to made.

Then I go to lip gloss.  The one I use smells like candy, its compact, and its the perfect lip gloss I have ever tried.  The lip gloss I use is called Ultrashine Lipgloss in Life On The A List by Benefit.  I like to put a dab of this on my cheek because I love that when cheek matches my lip color.  (shown is Elf Hypershine Gloss in Flirt. ;) )

For eyeshadow I don't like to go to heavy with eyeliner or mascara.  So usually I would just take a bright pop of color like Mac's Prowear Eyeliner in Mountain Air.

That completes my whole baseball game look.  It is fun, and wearable for the hot weather too, so if your not going to a baseball game this summer I am sure you will spend some days outside when you can wear this look.

#1 Thing ALL Beauty Guru's Must Have?

Everyone has different skin compositions and different hair texture, but one thing all beauty gurus share is a friendly personality.  We must have patience as tribute to our great personalities.  Being calm and being able to not rush into anything is patience and it is the #1 beauty guru must have.  We are constantly creeping on our monthly favorites and we have to have patience to gather up our other must haves.  Another popular video we need patience for is our empties.  I hate to hoard empty items in my house, but I keep them in a separate hard-to-reach area under the bathroom sink and I have the patience to collect them.  Obviously, when I am done filming the video I will have the discipline to throw it all away, because there is no longer a need to hold on to them.  Above discipline is patience and it is the #1 beauty guru must have.

Garnier Products!

When it wasn't the day to use my Neutrogena for my hair I used Garnier.  I love the shampoo and condition from this line because the shampoo really does clean, and the conditioner really does soften!  Personally, I believe this hair product is unisex because it doesn't include a flirty girl scent.  The packaging is also very amazing, but maybe its because I am obsessed with everything green!  The price is right and you only need a small handful to wash and condition your hair properly.  I believe you should only use the Neautrogena Triple Moisture on a weekly basis because it does triple of what Garnier does (hence the name ;P ).  Although I might say I prefer Neautrogena over Garnier the reason is because it does such an amazing job deep cleaning and super softening my hair.

Obsessed with Spanish?

Half of me is biologically spanish, but all my life I have grown up around a completely semi-Californian, native Floridian and adoptive Virginian lifestyle.  I used to love Pandora and finding new music was such a win for me, but if I liked a song back then I would have to go and screen shot the page so I could find it again.  This was a silly and time wasting process.  I was so happy when I found Spotify and discovered how vast my options where.  I now have a techno playlist, an emotional playlist and even a spanish playlist; I have music for whatever mood I am in.  Spotify has a free subscription that if you haven't tried out you should!  I am specifically obsessed with my spanish playlist.  What are you adoring now?

Training To A 5-K

I decided in Novermeber 2012 that I wanted to run better, faster and stronger.  I have been going at it and not receiving the results I expected.  In order to change that, I found a running plan called The Couch-To-5K.    Not only do they provide a schedule that will get me running better in 9 weeks, but it also has apps for phones.  The app has a zombie option and you have to run from the zombies!  I think that it is really cool and I am really excited to try it out.  I have looked over the plan over and over and I have decided that my body is going to get stronger and I will be able to run the whole 3 miles at the end of the 9 weeks.  I am so excited!

Eerie Earrings

All my friends have the cutest earrings that I have ever seen!  Whenever I ask them where they got it they always tell me Forever 21 or Icing and the problem is I am hypo-allergenic to those brands!  I can only wear the 4 precious stones my dad bought me.  Don't get me wrong I love the rubies, peridot, sapphire and diamonds, but I wish I could wear the hip and cool earrings like my friends.  If only there was a special spray to protect my ear from getting infected... I really need a solution for my eerie ears!

Future Fashion Designer?

During the 15 minute break at school, I ask my friends for a description of their dream house, then I draw it.  In my opinion, this is the start of a life long love.  Fashion designing has always interested me and I have slightly pursued that with the launching of my youtube channel.  I have found several great websites for my interest.  Houzz is an app that gives fashionistas inspiration and from there they can pin the images onto boards they create.  I also like Auto Desk Home Styler which involves creating a floor plan for a house, apartment or building.  I am in the process of finding a good clothing designing app.  In the end, I want to become familiar and comfortable with making a design.  I would also like to identify and become familiar with famous designers.  Hopefully, when I am designed bags I will have a teenager who looks up to me.

Everyday Posts? #thebusylife

Yell at me: go ahead.  Oh wait... there is no one to yell at me because no one reads these posts :p  Hopefully, someone will love me enough though to read these eventually.  I am sure by the time I get some attention on my blog I will be insanely amazing at writing; I really hope I get better at writing soon.  If you haven't realized, and you probably didn't, I haven't been created posts everyday like I said I would... I guess school just took over my life :P but actually it is a lot more than that this month.

This month I was participating in this bet with my parents, each of us pitched in $33.33 and then the winner would receive the $100 to spend however they choose: all we had to do was get the most points on vocabulary.com.  I got super duper excited and started doing vocabulary words like crazy!  I obviously know why my parents did this, its because they want me to be prepared for my SAT's sophomore year.  I love knowing they care :)

I started this boxing class called LA boxing.  My parents signed me up for the 6 month membership and I really have to start going more often!  I walk to the class because it is a fence-jump from my house.  Although, like a good girl, I walk all around the gate and on the side walk to class.  I really like boxing and I burn so many calories, especially for bikini-wanting Alicia.

I got several phone calls from mothers and fathers who wanted me to baby sit their kids.  I put up an ad in my neighborhood billboard and was ecstatic to get phone calls!  I got my first baby sitting job with Noah who is 5 and Ty (Tyler) who is 10.  They are both adorable and fun to be around.  I was immediately able to tell that Noah was a mama's boy because he was so loving, hugging, and he was the hand holding type.  Ty was super easy to talk to and I could actually talk to him like he was my friend.  I found out he likes Black Ops, Minecraft and Dubstep... which I surprisingly like too.  I hope they liked me and I hope to babysit them again.

Tell me how your life is going?  Please?  haha :)

Nail Polish Collection Review: Icing & Claire's

All that glitters is certainly not gold.  When I used to walk into Claire's and Icings I was always overwhelmed with their collection of bag and jewelry: now I am disgusted.  I hate Claire's and Icing is O.K.  First off all, they are both super pricey and their cosmetics are worse then E.L.F!(Although, E.L.F is great ;) )  Let's get into the details!  :)

This is my Claire's top coat with what seems to be a green undertone, pumped with glitter.  I like the color, really, its pretty!  The problem is that it RUIN'S the color I am trying to enhance, even after I have waited for it to dry.
This was one of my first nail polishes before my parents started to let me wear makeup.  It is a clear top coat from Claire's and just like the sparkly top coat, it destroys the color I am trying to paint it over.  :(  Which leads to me not using this nor the other Claire's product.

When I finally hit my teenage years I strolled into Icing.  This color is a deep purple that is not my favorite... I personally don't lean toward dark colors because it reminds me of winter: and the depressing single Christmas's I spend alone.  :p (True story though.)  This product changes color and creates a unique X design when a magnet hovers the paint.  It is a cool idea, but not worth it.

If you take anything away from this post, then please realize that Claire's and Icing products suck!  They are extremely expensive and shouldn't be sold.  Hopefully you take my advice and won't have to suffer!!

Pinterest vs Tumbler ft. Boys?

Don't even get me started.  I love Pinterest and could rant on and on about this online pin board.  I am more that 100% sure that I will get addicted to Tumblr if I get started, so I refrain from making an account.  If some one were to ask me, Pinterest of Tumblr?  My immediate response is PINTEREST!  I spend morning walks to the bus stop and bus rides home with the Pinterest app open.  I enjoy my lunches pinning clothing, inspiration and cute pictures on Pinterest anyone would call me an addict.  What's weird is that boys don't usually pin or tumble... so what do they do all day?  That is a good question.

One day, I was talking to my friend, a tumblr addict, and she was telling me how similar Pinterest was to tumblr, but how tumblr was better.  I asked her why and she said it's because she is used to using it.  I believe Tumblr vs. Pinterest will be an issue like Edward vs. Jacob because to be honest I like Pinterest, but don't have a logical answer to.  Leave a comment below telling me Pinterest or Tumblr.

Boys don't normally use Tumblr or Pinterest, unless most of their friends are girls.  Not because they are gay, although that is fine, but because people tend to do the things their friends do.  If you think about it, what is their to pin/tumble anyways?  Hot guys and cute clothes right?  Therefore guys don't have a reason to get involved in this.  I'm not of the male gender, but I think I can safely say boys either sleep, play games, eat, watch tv, and if your lucky, play sports.  To them Tumblr or Pinterest is a girl activity which is totally cool: We don't need them to mess it up.

I love Pinterest, but I also love my twitter.  Please follow my instagram, @drali1 and please please take a look at my latest youtube video!

Nail Collection Review: OPI

OPI is a great nail polish brand!  This is the only OPI nail polish I own and the shade is Other Significant Color.  Like I mentioned in my February Favorites I like to use this nail polish as a top coat when I am using my Essie or Sally Hansen nail polish.  This color stays on for very long and it preserves the color of a base coat for twice as long!  This is a unique color because in the sun it turns into a shimmery lagoon green color and if the sun isn't reflecting on it then it is a gorgeous purple color.  This is defiantly a must have on my nail polish list.

Nail Polish Collection Review: Sally Hansen

These nail polishes have a great formula and they are absolutely gorgeous colors.  I have seen several beauty guru's pick up different shades from the Sally Hansen X-treme and nail growth lines.

Sally Hansen Hard as Nail X-treme Wear in Pacific Blue is a bright blue color and its true to color.  It last for about 5 days and I only apply one coat.

Sally Hansen Nail Growth Miracle in Sweet Sunrise is great!  It really does grow out my nails and the color is a super pretty girly pink, even though it reminds me of pepto bismo
It lasts for about 3-4 days with only one coat.

Both of these nail polishes are great colors and I would
recommend the nail growth miracle to someone trying to grow out their nails.  Meanwhile, the X-treme wear in my opinion is nothing special.  I don't notice a longer lifespan of the nail polish, because it still chips.

Nail Polish Collection Review: Essie

eI remember Essie being one of my first favorite brands, and in the summer of 2012 I was obsessed with this spring color.  Essie nail polish has a really liquidly consistency and dries with a glossy finish.  I really like this pastel purple called play date, but the downside is that without OPI as my top coat it chips fairly fast. Keep in mind, that it might be due to poor conduct on my part because I only apply one coat.)  Overall, I would recommend this to a girl first being introduced to beauty.

In My Dreams... (Bath and Body Work Wishlist)

Buy two get one free!  Sure sounds like a great deal, but in reality we only wanted one and we get reeled into this all time.  Bath and Body Works always has deals like that going on and while we feel like we am saving money, we actually spend more than we really should.  When I go to B&BW I like to grab some hand sanatizer's in different scents, foaming hand soap and body mists.  I would get candles, but instead me and my dad like to make our own :)

Last time I wondered into my local Bath and Body Work I got a few foaming hand soaps.  I really enjoy using them more than the gel-like hand soap. One of my favorite scents is the farmer market.

This is a shimmer mist by Bath and Body Works in Honey Sweetheart. I have heard millions of positive raves about this product, for example $18 can buy a body mist that has sparkles within it and it gives your body a great glow!  Personally, I haven't try this product, but I am sure it smells and feels great.
Mini hand sanitizers!! I see these everywhere.   Literally, my friends have them in their pencil pouches and in their lunch boxes too.  I love the variety of scents that it comes in, also the size is so convenient.

To wrap things up :)  If I were to stummble into Bath and Body Works right now, I would grab some foaming hand soap, a shimmer mist and several hand sanatizers.  Thanks so much for reading this blog post :)

Swimming Forever.

"Just keep swimming, Just keep swimming." Dory said, and hopefully she says this famous line in Finding Dory.  Yes I said it:  The Sequel to Finding Nemo is Finding Dory and I just can't wait to see it in theaters.  When I go swimming I have some essentials I bring with me to the pool to freshen up.

Lotion? Check.  Shampoo and Conditioner? Check.  Googles?  Check, and I am ready to go.  I grab my bag and go with all my goodies to my neighborhood pool.  To learn more about whats in this picture above and what I bring on my trips to the gym click here.

Thanks so much for reading!  I hope you get inspired to start swimming too, because all you have to do is just keep swimming.

St.Ives not at my Supermarket!?!?

Sometimes when a product is mainstream I don't go and actually try it out until a few months later.  This is the case with the St. Ives Scrub, but to be honest it never made it into my collection because it wasn't avalible in my local supermarket until recently.  Now, I just can't stop using it and maybe I do use it more than 4 times a week... :)

St. Ives face scrub had been raved about in so many videos.  The smell and beady feel is fabulous!  I love the sensation of the product work into my skin.  The bottle reccomends using it only 3-4 times a week and that is reasonable for an deep clean scrub.  After the job is done it leaves my face feeling fresh and clean.

Bonus points to whoever made this face scrub blemish control!  The wash has salicylic acid which is amazing at being an acne killer. Every single time that I use this acne treatment not even a week has to pass before I see results, which in my eyes, is amazing.

Basically, anything that's not at my local super market I don't really venture out to find. That should probably change though because too many cloudy days have passed without this Apricot Scrub. I give this product 10/10 and would definatly reccomend this to any teen troubled with acne.

Love Culture Purchase

I can't even believe to explain how big of a role model macbarbie07 is for me.  She inspires me to make videos and watching her gives me great ideas to incorporate into my videos.  Hopefully one day I will be watched by 2 million just like she is, but obviously that time hasn't come yet.  Anyways, Bethany always mentions the store called, "Love Culture" and that its a west coast store!  I ended up ordering online to get some new threads. :)

My first big issue was the sizing chart.  I had no idea how a S, M or L would fit me and it was even more difficult when I found out the site didn't have a sizing chart!  My mom convinced me that a medium would fit me fine and so I ordered the clothes in that size.  I thank the heavens that, although the dresses where a bit baggy, everything was a great fit!

I got 2 cute high-low dresses.  One was an aztec blue, green, orange and cream patterned dress and the other had an athenian vibe to it with its baby blue color.  I feel that if I got a small in the baggy dresses it would be too short, so I feel satisfied with the size I received.  I am 5'6 and in the healthy weight range, so if you are like me then a medium should work.  I am satisfied with the material and the prices of the dresses from Love Culture.

A body suit I ordered had straps that were a little bit loose, but thats okay because the design was too cute!  My body suit was brought into this world for the days I want to wear shirts that are a little bit see through, so if you see where I am going with this I want everyone to see my body suit.  It has a skeleton design of my lungs, backbone and ribs.  I love it so much, the fabric is great and the price was very suitable.

Shoes!  These shoes I like to call Alice in Wonderland shoes because the pattern just makes me think of that great movie.  The have a little bow on top of the toes and they are covered in a striped pattern with neon green.  I am so excited to wear these during the super because they have such a great pop of color.  If I could change one thing about my purchase its that I get a size bigger.  I am a 9.5 and I rounded down -.- not a good choice.  If you shop at Love Culture for shoes round up.  Now that I think about it the only clothes that fit perfectly from Love Culture was the top I got.

This top is an amazing royal blue summer top.  I was last minute deciding whether or not to get the pink or royal blue one, but now I can say that my choice was perfect :)  I might actually get the pink top because I love the fit so much!  It has great button detail that look like little studs and a tie at the bottom of the top.  I can't even begin to explain how many outfits are popping up in my head.  I am obsessed.

All in all, get a size medium if your 5'6 and in the healthy weight range, round up when buying shoes, and know the body suit straps might be loose.  Love Culture isn't the cheapest store around, but its pretty darn close.  If you can't shop in the store in person it is okay to buy online from Love Culture because it truly is great service!

Thanks so much for getting this far.  I am giving you all computer hugs and I am so thankful for everyone.  Comment below I love hearing from you guys :)  If you just stumbled across my blog, please subscribe for more and check out my youtube.  Your twitter and instagram feed will be happier if you follow me (@dralimakeup) (@drali1) respectively.  Don't forget to follow my Pinterest.  Thanks again :)

Stain Gloss Review

Maybelline's Super Stay Stain Gloss in Berry Heavenly is the first stain gloss I have ever tried.  It wasn't simple Harris Teeter browsing that resulted in this purchase, instead I heard two beauty guru's mention this new product in their haul's.  Therefore, I went to the Maybelliene section to try it out.

The color is very very vivid, but what is more important is the formula of this product.  A stain gloss is supposed to have a glossy application, consequently this formula is very thin. Once it is dried, drinking and eating won't be a worry because the the color is stained on your lips.  Taking off the product is a breeze, although it doesn't last for 10 hours as it claims.  This product has its ups and down just like everything in life.

This product has a great bold color, and the consistency is what one should expect from a stain gloss.  Except, it claims to last 10 hours when in reality it only lasts about 6.
I would recommend this product and if I was to repurchase I would get a more wearable color.  I would like to thank my mom for modeling this :)

Nivea vs EOS

Nivea vs EOS + Drali's Commentaries

Nivea Lip Care A Kiss of Moisture in Milk and Honey is a great and beloved lip product.  I have heard several youtuber's talk about this Nivea product with positive commentaries.  I am going to agree with them and give this product 5 stars.  For only $3 at drugstore.com this lip balm is accessible in a dire need of moisture.  Not only does this product feel like butter, but it smells very comforting.  Even though my mother didn't mix my milk with honey this products still reminds me of comfort and a cozy home.  I would defiantly recommend this cheap and soothing lip balm.

EOS Lip Balm Sphere in Fresh Mint is from a line of products known to the public.  These are very popular just like the Nivea products and while some people call it drying, I feel different.  I really love EOS products this is my second EOS sphere and I enjoy coating my lips with this product.  Originally $3.49 at drugstore.com this lip balm is a bit on the pricey side compared to Nivea.  This formula is not as creamy as Nivea but a bit more on-the-go feeling, meaning that its "under 475 calories" (Seasons 52 reference)  I want to build up a collection of EOS balms and therefore would recommend this product.

Thanks so so so much for reading this this far :)  I am Drali and I am sending you my love through the speakers :p  Want more love?  Follow my pinterest boards and twitter.  Instagram is drali1 and my youtube as always is dralimakeup.
